TAMPA — Two 13-year-olds confessed to starting a brush fire that burned 4 acres near Freedom High School on Thursday evening, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.
One of the two boys called 911 after the matches they were playing with ignited the wooded area around homes in the 17000 block of Emerald Chase Drive in New Tampa, Fire Rescue said. No homes were damaged and no injuries were reported.
Investigators questioned the boys after the fire that began around 6:30 p.m. was extinguished. No criminal charges were filed.

Kids are curious. If more families took their kids into the woods or behind their homes to a SAFE location or better yet had family camping ... and taught the kids about fire, how to start fires, HOW TO BE SAFE WITH FIRES.... and sat around fires and campfires where kids took turns adding accelerant as needed and wood and then raking it ... etc... I wouldn't like to see them get charged. We lived in that area before all the property theft went down. Our property caught fire every so often. Most times the neighbor saw it and ran over and put it out... other times the VOLUNTEER fire dept came out. Things were much much better than. I might only have been four but I remember VERY clearly and I remember knowing how to swim, act around snakes and start and stop a fire ...

Wish we could fry them if they did it on purpose.....we really need to find a way to bring charges on the parents when their little angel does something really stupid.

CITY OFFERS ONE DOLLAR
....to reimburse the H, for the destruction, of their beautiful daughter, in the pictures to the right
More Story Thursday! Tell your friends -- Read today's story below:
In a scare tactic, the City of St. Petersburg, Florida's City Lawyer, Joseph P Patner offered a settlement, of one dollar.
BECAUSE, the city, of St. Petersburg, FL, is attempting to scare, two employees, of to drop their case.
It is a legal trick, as old as "Fred Flintstones & Barney Rubble" to formally file, in the Sixth Judicial Court, in Pinellas County, a settlement of ONE DOLLAR, to D H, and a second dollar, to T H. It shows the unrelenting and malicious attack, on this husband and wife, by the city, and its "out of control" police force.
On April 16th, 2010 little did four members, of the St. Petersburg Police department, realize their collar was smarter, and more persistent, than the entire SPPD personnel combined. Officer Carter who just avoided a ruling of violating Mr. Hobbs civil rights by stopping him for no ligament reason, which will be tested in civil court where the burden of proof is only a preponderance of evidence. i.e. Which is more likely, not beyond a reasonable doubt, so if the civil jury feels 51% to 49% Officer Carter can be said to have violated Dennis Hobbs civil rights.
In addition, Carter treated Hobbs, like a high school drop out, ignoring every word Mr. Hobbs said to him. Since the trial is to come, we are unable to give examples today, but as the trial progresses, we will, because it is important that the entire United States is educated on the degradation, of police departments, all over America. Officer Carter missed the forest for the trees; he saw simple daily items, like sprite, empty water bottles and without intelligent thought, decided at that moment Dennis Hobbs was up to no good and an easy target. Officer Carter had no idea, who he was dealing with.
Mr. Dennis D. Hobbs, a model citizen over six states in 60 years, without so much as a hint of ever breaking the law. In fact, he had never smoked a cigarette, drank even an ounce of alcohol, took even a puff of a joint, or even, in grade school, stolen as much as a pencil. Add to that two college degrees, minors in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Kentucky and a masters in Mathematics and you have the wrong mind to lie about, produce over 50 police and court reports, and not have this person find so many changes from one report to the next and out right lies, that the SPPD will sink during the trial, there will be no settlement, because this is about my daughter, (more later on that), and a landmark case that will reverberate across America.
So we laughed, at this tactic, used on those with limited financial funds and education to take on a City lawyer, as a scare tactic that is as old as the hills. I never quit anything, in my 61 years, if I knew that I was honest, it was important, and it was the right thing to do.
I will not quit here, so mark your calendars, for a summer trial and see the police forced to say, they lied, or even more fun, watch them taken away, for perjury and contempt, of court.
It goes like this, the City offers one dollar, not as a true settlement but as a ploy to scare honest, and deserving citizens, their civil & judicial rights.
By an offer of one dollar settlement, they rely on a Florida statue that says, if a plaintiff refuses an offer, and does not get a settlement from trial, greater than a percent, of that offer, the plaintiff, most likely, will be responsible, for all legal fees in court, but also, the defense lawyer’s fees, as well.
Quite a doomsday scenario, if you are poor, or middle class! How could you go on, with the possibility, of not only losing, but have fifty thousand dollars, in debt heaped upon you, by the city, simply, for seeking justice?
The next edition will continue what every citizen should know, do not miss it!
We are preceding, if we have to mortgage our home, because the SPPD and the Keystone Kops are about equal, in ability to arrest, and make a mess out, of the police system.
(GAW) God Always Wins
If you knew what I knew, and Vegas was laying odds, you should put your savings, house, everything you have on us.
We cannot lose, this is already over, the City, and Carter, Cope, Coffin, and Pavelski know it. In fact, odds are one will be dismissed or arrested for federal crimes.

Be careful to check any new laws they may have passed about what can happen if you turn down a settlement and then get the crooked judge you will get, sir. I'd ignore it and push forward to just CYA beause GAW and He also helps those who help themselves. UK all the way.

Mr. Hobbs and daughter, Good luck !!! Watch your back though ... they never EVER give up and will continue this pernicious bullying throughout, soon they will tamper with your car. Put a security camera on it. And, pay no mind to most of the people who post here (with the delightful exception of tmurphy and wormser and others) because many are cops, firemen (just as bad or worse as they pose as heroes) or cops or firemens' kids wives and girlfriends. Tell your daughter to be careful who she talks to and who she allows to fast-friend her. They excel at that. Also ... review your documents. Spellcheck doesn't catch real words used wrongly. GO CATS !!

Great story, and I hope the corrupt SPPD gets a large chunk taken out of their budget by this lawsuit, and I hope those police officers in question end up working at a private security firm for minimum wage. Only complaint I have is this: "by stopping him for no ligament reason". The word you should have used is legitimate.
